Carthusia

In 1948 the Carthusian Prior found the ancient perfume formulas and, with the Pope's permission, revealed them to a chemist from Piedmont, in northern Italy, and thus created the smallest perfume laboratory in the world, calling it "Carthusia".
Today Carthusia has put its centuries-old expertise to use to develop a perfume culture that is unique in the world. Over the years, it has honed its mastery of the olfactory sense, refining and structuring its understanding of essences in order to grant those who choose these fragrances the purest and most intense emotions. Today, as in the past, all stages of production are carried out by hand to ensure the precise application of the natural methods involved and the precious care of traditional craftsmanship.
